This role requires you to be onsite every day.
As a liaison between us and our suppliers, you will be responsible for the quality of supplied parts/assemblies and ensuring suppliers meet all procedural requirements. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to improve incoming part quality and eliminate supplier caused non-conformances. The ideal candidate will be able to proactive engage with suppliers to prevent issues from occurring and drive improvements throughout the supply chain. Domestic and international travel can be expected.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supports manufacturing operations by resolving and eliminating supplier caused non-conformances
- Implements design and manufacturing process changes at supplier level
- Responsible for conducting and documenting part qualification activities
- Works cross-functionally to prevent supplier caused part shortages
- Leads supplier quality system and process audits to ensure supplier’s capabilities meet compliance and quality needs
- Monitors supplier quality metrics and utilizes them to identify and drive process improvements
- Participates in evaluation and selection of new suppliers
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline
- Minimum two years of experience in engineering or similar in the medical device industry
- Experience working with and/or auditing domestic and international suppliers is a plus
- A valid passport, or ability to obtain one soon after joining
