The Enterprise IT Monitoring Architect will work with systems and application engineers and administrators to ensure the continual improvement of both the scope and quality of all monitoring solutions. This individual fulfills a key role in the delivery of monitoring related services critical to both internal and external stakeholders. You will be a major contributor for presenting and delivering on new technologies, services and applications.

Responsibilities
You will be accountable for defining standards and designs for monitoring their domain and the creation, maintenance and achievement of roadmaps and technical designs as they pertain to monitoring of IT services, and all policies and procedures to be communicated and shared across the entire IT organization.
- Provide administration and support for on premise and cloud monitoring solutions spanning toolsets
- Onboard new data and oversee growth and lifecycles
- Build detailed technical designs related to monitoring as a part of complex projects assigned to you.
- Build and maintain a minimum of a 2-year technical domain road map that aligns with technical direction of the organization and company. Collaborate with other technical architects to integrate and align all technical roadmaps. Present technical roadmaps to senior IT leadership.
- Partner with engineers, administrators, architects, developers and project managers to plan and implement complex, technical monitoring solutions and architecture
- Identify improvement opportunities that need to be addressed through automation
- Utilize standard methodologies and provide recommendations to improve problem identification and response time in enterprise systems and applications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Engineering field is preferred. Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 9 years of demonstrated experience in an IT related field within a professional services organization
- Experience operating monitoring tools (Splunk, SolarWinds, Azure Log Analytics, PRTG, etc.)
- Experience with an industry standards scripting language (Java, Perl, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience working with key office automation tools such as Visio, PowerPoint and Word
