Position Summary

The Senior Marketing Communications Manager reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications. This person will be responsible for the creative development and implementation of consistent and cohesive internal and external communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling brand and data-driven stories and consumer campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
  • Drive brand development and storytelling across public relations and content.
  • Develop, manage, and execute an annual strategic communications plan for all online and offline communications media to reach appropriate target audiences. Evaluate success and recommend improvement.
  • Maintain messaging for all divisions of organization, implementing key national campaigns and efforts into local campaigns, communications, and culture.
  • Write content across all communications channels, including press releases, media kits and related collaterals.
  • Audit and analyze communications efforts, ensuring one brand voice.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the website, social media channels, email publications.

Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in public/media relations, communications, and/or marketing
  • 5 years of experience with MailChimp, Google Analytics, or Cision
  • 7 years of experience with social media platforms
  • 5 years of non-profit marketing content is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Expressions is desirable
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.
  • HTML, CMS, email marketing, print production and web development skills are desirable.
