Accounts Payable Analyst Job Opening:

Our client develops efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer. Their products are being designed to herald the transition of adoptive cell therapy from a hospital based treatment to outpatient therapy, like most other cancer treatments.

We are actively recruiting for an Accounts Payable Analyst, a new opportunity with this growing company in San Francisco, CA. This role is responsible for processing full cycle Accounts Payable and monthly accrual related to the A/P area. Relocation is available. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process invoices, expense reports and credit memos in the A/P accounting module.
  • Matching invoices to back-up documentation
  • Providing and/or reviewing account coding
  • Maintain A/P files including: unpaid invoices, paid invoices, permanent vendor files, purchase orders, receiving documents and W-9s
  • Manage weekly payment cycles, including matching payments to supporting invoices, mailing out checks weekly, and processing ACH and wires
  • Research and resolve vendor invoice discrepancies
  • Maintain excellent communication and relationships with vendors and employees
  • Assist with month-end accruals related to the A/P area (items received but not invoiced, and A/P accrual).
  • Prepare annual 1099s filing.
  • Assist in quarterly/annual audit.
  • Ad hoc reporting and assistance with projects, as requested.
  • Coordinate/resolve issues of accounting matters with other internal and external personnel within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with Company accounting policies and the application of generally acceptable accounting principles.
  • Assist in accounting process improvements as needed.
  • Maintain Desktop Procedures related to the areas of responsibility.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred or equivalent experience
  • Full understanding of the A/P and PO processing cycle required
  • Understanding of GAAP
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in A/P processing
  • Ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities with short deadlines
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced office while constantly maintaining a friendly and positive attitude
  • Experience working in biotechnical industry preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
