Bilingual Human Resources Manager

Our client is a family-owned food and beverage distributor in the Inland Empire with aggressive growth plans for 2022. We have been retained by the company to find a talented Bi-lingual English/Spanish Human Resources Manager to join their management team.

Your main responsibility is leading the organization’s HR programs and policies as they apply to employee relations, compensation, benefits, safety, training, performance, and staffing levels supporting the company’s strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify staff vacancies and select candidates for open positions
  • Promote healthy relationships between staff and management through mediation, handling labor disputes and guiding department managers through employee issues
  • Policy development and documentation
  • Conduct employee training and orientation,
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health
  • Administer and supervise the benefits program, wellness plans, recruitment, and placement
  • Analyze compensation and other competitive data
  • Supervise payroll
  • Manage and consult with external partners, such as payroll companies and benefits administrators
  • Oversee performance management and improvement systems
  • Prepare budgets regarding HR costs and activities
  • Lead Risk Mitigation by keeping the organization compliant with federal, state and local labor laws and regulations
  • Stay on top of all applicable labor legislation, as well as the shifting needs of the company and its employees
  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing employee data and maintaining accurate and complete employee records
  • Employee services and counseling
  • Management and supervision of employment agencies

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • BA or BS in Human Resources Management, Business, Psychology, or similar field of study preferred
  • PHR certification desired
  • Five to seven years of Human Resources experience as a human resources generalist, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
  • Ability to manage and administer a broad range of tasks including resolving complaints, counseling managers and employees on the interpretation of policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices human resources management and supervision, preferably in a retail grocery store environment
  • Ability to prepare high quality written reports, correspondence and presentations to senior leadership as required
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Proven positive and successful leadership skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions
  • Ability to maintain physical condition and stamina appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include sitting for extended periods of time and operating assigned office equipment, and other duties as assigned
  • Computer literate; experience using Excel, MS Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Ability to perform essential functions, with reasonable accommodation if needed
