Accounting Manager

We are actively recruiting for an Accounting Manager for their office in Long Beach, CA. to take their brand’s fun, female-empowering and transformative presence to the next level.

The Accounting Manager must have experience in performing full-cycle accounting close and account reconciliations. This position will report to the President.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial modeling, analysis, and administration
  • Cash management, capital budgeting and financial reporting
  • Maintain regular processes and dashboards to measure company’s financial performance
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and manage inventory stock adjustments in as needed to ensure orders can be invoiced in the system
  • Responsible for maintaining and reconciling inventory, AR, and AP sub-ledger with the general ledger
  • Develop continuous process improvement strategies to drive financial and operational efficiencies and cost savings
  • Serve as point person for all numbers and data relating to the company. Responsible for P&L budget management
  • Responsible for payroll, month-end closing and financial statements
  • Manage capitalization process involving both debt and equity financing
  • Provide financial leadership
  • Guide organization with data and insight and ensures that Company has funds necessary to capitalize on its growth opportunities ahead

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • MBA highly desired
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Paychex and Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups  
  • Requires at least 5-7 years of financial reporting experience.  Public accounting experience and e-commerce industry experience is a plus.
  • Work experience in performing full-cycle accounting close and account reconciliations
  • Strong technical skills in applying US GAAP rules
  • Extensive experience with fixed assets, inventory control, general ledger, month-end closing and financial statements
  • Start-up experience ramping an organization using minimal resources
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
