Director of Retail Revenue

Our client is in the Financial Services industry with over 800 branches throughout the United States. We are currently recruiting for a Director of Retail Revenue to join their accounting team in Fountain Valley, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Director of Retail Revenue will manage the revenue monthly close process that supports the timely preparation of accurate periodic financial statements
  • Create and support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure strict compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Support the facilitation of timely audits and interim reviews by the company’s external audit firm pertaining to revenue
  • Ensure compliance with bank reporting guidelines and covenants
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, budget variance reports, and forecasts
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of supplemental revenue reports and analysis
  • Be a key leader in the development and coordination of a best-in-class financial accounting organization that will support our long-term growth strategy for Revenue streams, revenue cycle functions, and customer collections
  • Create and support the design and implementation of effective internal controls over financial reporting, particularly with revenue, bad debt expense, reserves, etc.
  • Prepare internal analyses to support internal and external reporting requirements
  • Manage ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed
  • Recruit, develop, and monitor team member performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, CPA and/or MBA highly desirable
  • 10+ years of previous accounting experience
  • Prior experience leading revenue accounting for a multi-location company with annual revenue exceeding $500M
  • Big 4 or comparable Public Accounting experience a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience working at companies with multiple locations (e.g. retail)
  • Experience with MAS500 (Sage), Acumatica, Concur, or other equivalent systems strongly preferred
