Mechanical Design Engineer

This role requires you to be onsite every day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to pneumatic/mechanical architecture and design plans and documents
  • Develop pneumatic subassembly design specifications.
  • Design pneumatic and mechanical subassemblies in 3D CAD.
  • Create/review mechanical part drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs using 3D CAD software.
  • Build and test mechanical subassemblies.
  • Coordinate prototype and pilot builds of mechanical assemblies, including test fixtures/processes
  • Work according to Project Plan and Company QA Manual.
  • Maintain current QA training, as required.

Key qualifications and experience include:

Education:

  • High school graduate
  • Preferred: 4-year mechanical engineering or technology degree, emphasis in fluids
  • Minimum: 2-year associate degree in engineering technology

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years min working as a mechanical engineer developing fluid control devices.
  • 3+ years developing mechanical systems for a medical device, or other safety critical application, preferred.
  • 3+ years working within a quality system including document and change control process, and formal V&V testing processes
  • Software Skills – Competent with Excel, Word, and SolidWorks CAD
